hydraulic Grass Seed Harvester

The BigEng Hydraulic Grass Seed Harvester comes in varying lengths according to customer requirements. BigEng have manufactured harvesters from 1.8m up to 3.6m in width but can custom manufacture to your specific size requirements. The BigEng Grass Seed Harvester is unique in its design and works off a venturi system which sucks the grass seed up into the air cavity at the back of the brush. This design was modified and upgraded through trials and customer feedback to ensure that the maximum seed is reclaimed from the crop requiring minimal cleaning and processing. Bigway Crust Buster

BigEng were commissioned in 2019 by Wayne Jones to design and manufacture a heavy-duty tow behind spike soil aerator roller which would bust up hard dry soil. This resulted in the BigWay Crust Buster purpose manufactured for Mr Jones. The blades on the roller are designed to penetrate the soil up to 8” for aeration to improve water and nutrient absorption. Soil aerators on the market are not suited for the tough soil conditions in Australia. Call our team to discuss your options.

WORM TROMMEL 

The BigEng Worm Trommel is a rotating cylindrical screen used to separate materials by sifting worms from their castings. Our tailor designed machine takes account of factors such as screen size, rotation speed and material durability. A motorised system allows for flexibility of operation. This design was manufactured to suit this customers workflow to ensure efficiency and ease of maintenance while optimizing the harvesting process.

PAST SPECIALIST EQUIPMENT PROJECTS

BigEng have a proven history of delivering innovative solutions for industries throughout Queensland, collaborating closely with contractors and producers to develop functional equipment uniquely designed to suit their specific needs. Past projects have included.

  • Design & Manufacture of an Extended Reach Grab Attachment for a Bobcat so the contractor has easier access for fence line clean up enabling them to use the attachment like a rake.
  • Manufacture of a special built sliding drawbar for a Pig Trailer to enable load through of cattle without the need for a load through ramp. The pig trailer slides up to the back of the crate and allows the cattle to step from one crate to the other.
  • Fruit Grading Conveyors – custom built for fruit packing sheds in the Gayndah Citrus Region in Queensland.
  • Design and manufacture of a self-propelled Mango Mate Harvester – designed to suit the conditions in Northern Territory for harvesting mangos.
  • BigEng petrol driven vacuum seed harvester for grass seed contractors throughout Queensland. This model was to suit the front of a Polaris side by side vehicle.
  • Extended Arm Grab and Fork Attachments for a small excavator and dingo digger to assist in clean-up of tree-tops after lopping and tree felling operations.
  • Purpose built vibrating screen for small quarrying operations.
