Our Business History

Biggenden Engineering Works was established by Glen and Julie Chapman in 1995. The business outgrew the original premises in George Street, Biggenden, and the company relocated to larger premises at the butter factory building in 2006. The company has grown steadily and expanded to provide a unique combination of products and services throughout Queensland and beyond.


What We Do

We have fabrication and machining capabilities that allow us to manufacture a range of products, including stock crates, truck bodies, tipper bodies, portable livestock yards, and feeding equipment. We can also custom fabricate mild steel, aluminium, and stainless steel products and structures to meet client specifications and drawings.

Our extensive range of services allows us to offer our clients the complete package. You can rely on our knowledge and experience to provide the highest quality work and outstanding customer service. We have strong company values and place a great deal of importance on honesty, ethics, safety, and quality, and these values are reflected in our processes and our people.


In addition to our manufacturing and servicing capability, we carry a large range of steel sections and plates, which we can process in-house. Our spare parts department offers a range of engineering supplies, including cutting tools, safety gear, welding supplies, and gas. We also have a range of bearings, transmission components, seals, hydraulics, windmill parts, and fasteners, as well as replacement parts for tractors, trucks, and trailer parts to meet almost any need.
