JULIE CHAPMAN – Business Development Manager

Graduating from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Arts with majors in business, Julie has been with the company since it was established in 1995 and oversees the Financial and Business Management operations. She has over 30years experience and knowledge in business and management and also holds diplomas in business, business administration and management. She plays an important role in maintaining the smooth and efficient operations of the business and is responsible for all aspects of the company’s operations.

In addition to her role in the company, Julie is also a Justice of the Peace having completed 29years service to her community. She has also spent 3years on the Business Advisory Group to the North Burnett Regional Council from 2008 to 2010. In 2013 Julie completed a Graduate Certificate in Small Business Management at Charles Sturt University and in 2015 a Graduate Diploma of Commerce to further develop her management skills.

GLEN CHAPMAN – Company CEO

Since establishing the company in 1995, Glen has played a pivotal role in the company’s operations. He is a qualified Fitter, Turner and Machinist by trade and holds a Diploma of Mechanical Engineering. With over 30years industry experience, Glen is well positioned to ensure that the BigEng name remains synonymous with quality and adaptability and that both clients and staff continue to thrive and grow. Glen plays an important role in overseeing and managing the company’s production process and is responsible for the day to day running of the business and is always available to share his extensive knowledge to answer your technical queries.

Following in the family footsteps, Glen and Julie, his partner in business and wife of 29years have two adult sons with a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Queensland. Benjamin the oldest is a Mechanical Engineer and the youngest son Darcy is a Civil Engineer.

Glen continually gives of his time and knowledge to the local community and the company sponsors Engineering Trade Awards through the local high school. In addition to this he has also taken on a mentoring role for the Biggenden State School for the establishment and running of the Trade Training and Hospitality Centre opened in 2013.
